The Muslim Cultural Society is a parent organisation for the Markazi Jamia Masjid Bilal, which came into existence in 1982 due to the increasing population of the Muslim community in Harehills and lack of facilities available to them.
The organisation was set up to initiate community cohesion and provide community facilities needed in the area and to operate with a simple ethic: promote the love for the Holy Prophet (pbuh) in the manner that his companions and his saints loved and adored him and the life according to his Sunnah in peace & harmony within the neighbourhood.
